U16 vs Oshawa Vikings - July 16, 2011
On July 16th, the Lindsay Rugby U16 Gryphons travelled to Oshawa to face the Vikings "A" team in a bid to end the regular season undefeated.
The Lindsay boys stepped up to the challenge, led by the strong running and hard tackling of Jacob Lockhart. Lindsay came out on top with a 17 to 10 victory. Scoring were Mitch Collins with 2 tries and a conversion and Will Webster with one try.
The U16s now have exhibition matches versus the Ontario U14s and a U16 team from Ottawa, before playoffs begin in August.

U16 vs Oshawa Vikings - July 9, 2011
The Lindsay Rugby U16 Gryphons travelled to Oshawa to battle the Vikings on July 9th, trying to extend their undefeated season. The Lindsay boys overcame a slow start to defeat Oshawa 24 to 10. Patrick Tully, Will Webster, Andy Schreyer and Mitch Collins each scored a try and Brett Ressor converted twice.

U16 vs Bellville Bulldogs- June 25, 2011
On June 25th, The U16 Lindsay Gyrphons made the trek to Belleville, hoping the rain would hold off for their match against the Bulldogs. Lindsay was leading Belleville in the standings only by point differential. Lindsay was short on numbers with only 17 players, but as it turned out, they had plenty of heart.
Belleville took an early 12 to 0 lead before hard work from Lindsay and a strong run by Ben Webster, got Lindsay back into the game at 12 to 5. Belleville scored again but was not able to convert, finishing the first half with a 17 to 5 lead. Lindsay started the second half strong with a try by Cameron Taylor, but Belleville came right back with a try to make the score 22 to 10.

The Lindsay boys were able to dig deep and capitalize on some Belleville penalties, with Mac Kea powering through a crowd to score his first career try. Mitch Collins converted to make the score 22 to 17 for Belleville. With time running out, Lindsay put the pressure on and marched from their own 22 for a Lindsay line out 10 yards out with seconds remaining. A win in the lineout resulted in a drive for the line, with Cameron Taylor powering across for the try. With time expired, Mitch Collins successfully converted the try, for a 24 to 22 Lindsay win.
With the win, Lindsay takes sole possession of first place in the east.
U16 vs Ajax Wanderers - June 18, 2011
On a sunny Saturday June 18th, the U16 Lindsay Gryphons played host to the Ajax Wanderers. Ajax could not match the strength and speed of the Lindsay boys, who scored 11 tries to Ajax's lone try, resulting in a 65 to 5 win.
Scorers: Mitch Collins 3 tries; Andy Schreyer, 3 tries; Brett Reesor, 1 try, 2 conversions; Dylan Needham, 1 try, 1 conversion; Brian Costo, Justin Follett and Andrew McFadden each had single tries.
U16 vs Peterborough Pagans - June 11, 2011
The Lindsay Under 16 boys started off their rugby season on June 11th at home, at Greenway Park, against the Peterborough Pagans.
The team, coached by Luke Gledhill and Steve Lamb, played a dominant game, ending with a 49 to 5 victory. Will Webster scored 3 tries, Mitch Collins twice, with single tries from Dylan Needham, Andy Schreyer, Devin Smallwood and Ben Webster. Brett Reesor kicked two conversions.
